Hello, I’m Megan, the friendly face behind Ivy Place Interiors.
I love nothing more than creating beautifully bespoke made-to-measure curtains, blinds and soft furnishings for your home.
From start to finish, the service I provide is completely tailored to suit the individual needs of my clients. After all, no two windows are the same and there is definitely no right or wrong when it comes to your interior finishes. Ultimately, its down to what you like and how much of your personality you wish to shine through in what you choose. It can feel an overwhelming process when it comes to choosing the right window dressings, this is where I come in to make the process as stress-free as possible.
I aim to help my clients feel at ease with their decisions by providing a personal one-to-one service throughout. I will be on the journey with you assisting every step of the way, from the initial consultation process right through to the fitting of your made-to-measure soft furnishings.
Back in 2019, I turned my love for interiors from a hobby into a career by starting out as a design consultant for a local blind manufacturing company. It’s safe to say I became completely obsessed with all the beautiful fabrics – so much so that after assisting in customer service, I decided to venture out into manufacturing, where I worked towards gaining my sewing machinist qualification. I feel so lucky to be able to work with such beautiful fabrics every day, and to me there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my creations up in your home.
By combining my experience gained over the years, I made the leap in setting up Ivy Place Interiors. You may wonder where the name comes from. Well, Ivy Place was the home of my beloved granny Josie, it was where I spent a lot of my time growing up. As a grade II listed end cottage which dates back to 1754, it was full of charm and brimming with character. Being surrounded by the stunning traditional interiors of Ivy Place – along with the fitting decor chosen by my granny – influenced a lot of my interior style today. And as for my hands-on creativeness, I’ve got my lovely granny Sylvia to thank for that!
When I’m not getting creative in my workshop, you’ll find me exploring the great outdoors with my partner Harry and our cocker spaniel Toby. But mainly I’m in my workshop with a cuppa close by, doing what I do best, making gorgeous soft furnishings for lovely homes in Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.
Are you looking for someone to create your visions? Or are in need of some advice in order to get the ball rolling?
